GSG provides various NDT techniques to inspect materials and structures without causing damage or affecting their usability. In many cases, we use Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to identify the presence and location of reinforcing steel, location of buried structures such as underground storage tanks, foundations, or locations of voids below ground surfaces.

We assess concrete properties such as strength, density, and the presence of defects, including cracks or voids through the use of rebound hammers, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), GPR, crack monitors, electrical resistivity and carbonation depth measurement.

For steel structures, we utilize UT, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing and Visual Inspection to help identify cracks, corrosion or other flaws.  Lastly, Impulse Response may be used to establish concrete properties such as strength, delamination, underlayment support, cold joints and voids.
