Illinois Tollway

The Illinois Tollway manages and operates 294 miles of toll highways serving 1.6 million daily customers in 12 Northern Illinois counties. The Tollway system is an integral part of the transportation network and promotes economic and job growth by building and operating state of the art transportation facilities. Open-Road Tolling (I-Pass) and the new I-90 “Smart Road” are examples of the project delivery, innovation, and partnerships fostered by the Illinois Tollway contributing to the regional growth.

GSG engineers, scientists, and inspectors provide GEC services consisting of contract administration, planning, engineering design and review, sustainability assessment and benefits, constructability reviews, and field services such as construction, stormwater/erosion control, and structural reviews/inspections.

GSG collaborates with the Illinois Tollway Project Managers, DSEs and CSEs to identify design and construction issues and develop recommendations. This may include new guidance, details, and specifications for design projects, and inspections, resolution of deficiencies, and enforcement during construction projects.
