This multi-year infrastructure improvement project funds the design and construction of Bridge A318—a new single track bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River at milepost 32.4. The new bridge increases rail capacity and service efficiency on the Milwaukee District North Line. It also supports expanded operations through the Fox Lake Subdivision and complements upgrades to the Rondout Interlocking, CP Tri-State track, and Lake Forest crossover.
