GSG Consultants, Inc. performed a Hazardous Materials Survey for Asbestos-Containing Material, Lead-Based Paint, Mold, Mercury, Chlorofluorocarbon-containing equipment, Polychlorinated Biphenyls, Universal Wastes, and Containerized Chemicals that may require removal or special handling prior to construction or demolition work beginning at the Van Buren and Millennium Station sites. The Project Area consists of a 4,800-foot stretch of Metra railroad tracks between East Randolph Street and approximately 675 feet south of East Balbo Drive.

The survey was completed in full compliance with USEPA regulations and NESHAP standards, following best practices for asbestos, lead, PCBs, and other hazardous substances.
