GSG performed a Hazardous Materials Survey for Asbestos-Containing Material, Lead-Based Paint, Mold, Mercury, Polychlorinated Biphenyls, Universal Wastes, Chlorofluorocarbons, Hydrochlorofluorocarbons, and Containerized Chemicals that may require removal or special handling prior to the upcoming demolition/ renovations. GSG provided environmental designs in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations for the identified environmental items prior to the demolition/ renovation activities.

Scope of Services

• • Complete Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Complete a CSI, ROR, or RAP as part of the Illinois EPA Site Remediation
  • Program (SRP) services to further analyze the Recognized Environmental Conditions identified in Phase I/II
  • ESA and obtain a comprehensive “No Further Action” (NFR) letter for the site
  • Advance ten (10) soil borings and three (3) groundwater wells at the site, and collect nineteen (19) soil samples, one (1) groundwater sample, and one (1) soil gas sample
  • Prepare and perform a Hazardous Building Materials Survey Report
  • Develop a hazardous building materials abatement plan

  • Conduct a Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey to locate potential buried metallic objects
