Aurora-Advocate IMMC CAC Expansion – Phase I & Phase II ESA

A subsurface investigation was completed to support the planned expansion of the IMMC CAC Hospital at W. Barry and N. Sheffield in Chicago. The work included drilling soil borings and collecting samples to better understand ground conditions across the site. Additional on-site testing was performed to measure soil strength, pressure, and water absorption in key areas, helping to guide safe and efficient foundation design for the new building.

Scope of Services:

    • Scope included developing a drilling access plan, drilling multiple soil borings
    • Analyzed the data to provide recommended modulus values and geotechnical lab testing—including moisture content, Atterberg Limits, and soil density
    • The project concluded with the submission of a detailed Geotechnical Report for foundation design per City of Chicago OUC requirements
    • Evaluation of temporary tower crane foundations for construction
    • Review and evaluation of existing building foundations
