Structural Engineering
Majlinda is a Senior Structural Engineer with our Design Services Division. Her experience includes structural analysis, design, and planning as well as construction engineering of bridges and building structures. Her bridge experience includes preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for various DOT departments on a variety of complex structural projects.
Mrs. Agojci’s project management process includes the development of a work-breakdown structure (WBS). Using this structure, she can view the scope of work and determine the tasks and deliverables needed to complete the project. WBS’s are also used to produce detailed cost estimating and control, develop schedules and generate statements of work to insure the achievement of project objectives. She monitors compliance with quality control and assurance plans throughout the project.
Majlinda received her Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering/Structural Design from Polytechnic University of Tirana Albania and her Master of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. “I pursued a degree in engineering because of the impact it has on people’s lives and their health, as well as my drive to solve problems.” said Majlinda. “I enjoy working in large teams. I have found that to complete a project successfully, there must be collaboration of multiple engineering disciplines, owner / government institutions, contractors, lawyers and financing. Communication on a daily basis with other teams is key for development, exchange of experiences and to finding the best solution for the project. And best of all, those team members, over the years, have become like family to me.” finished Majlinda.
Currently Majlinda is serving as a Trust Indenture Structural Group Manager and Senior Structural Engineer for the Tollway GEC core structural group. When she is not at work, Majlinda enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music and exercising. She also enjoys doing renovation projects around her house.
