Construction Inspection
GSG’s construction inspection experience includes highway pavements, bridges, retaining walls, and noise walls; public buildings and utilities; and airport and railroad improvements. Through this diverse experience, we have gained a solid understanding of the technical and safety issues that are unique to various types of infrastructure improvement projects. We also have expertise in common elements of construction inspections such as the meticulous preparation of daily progress reports, documentation of contract quantities, and maintenance of as-built drawings.

Our inspection staff understands the need to work with construction personnel and local agencies to ensure minimal disruption to operations within the work zone. We also understand the need to maintain a safe work zone for workers as well as the traveling public, continuously guarding against potential safety hazards.
We maintain a staff of IDOT-certified and well-trained inspection personnel, which allows us to proactively resolve design questions and field coordination issues, ensure conformity with the plans and specifications, and take timely action to repair non-compliant work.
